Are you a passionate subject specialist looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is seeking In-Person Tutors to provide tailored 1:1 or small group support for SEN pupils in schools or at home across Southampton and the surrounding areas. This role is perfect for educators looking for flexible, rewarding work, supporting students who may not currently be in mainstream education due to their specific needs.

  • Deliver personalised tutoring sessions for SEN pupils in a wide range of subjects, including English, Maths, Science, and more.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of each student, focusing on building confidence, academic progress, and social development.
  • Provide tuition either within schools or in-home settings for students unable to attend school due to medical, emotional, or behavioural needs.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and school staff to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting tutoring strategies to optimise learning outcomes.
  • Competitive Pay: Rates in line with local authority guidelines, starting at £25 per hour, with flexibility based on experience and subject area.

  • Flexibility to work in different environments, including in-school and at-home tutoring.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
