Location: Secondary School in Darwen
Start Date: January 2025
Contract: Full-time, temp-perm

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Inclusion Room Manager to join our dedicated team at a secondary school in Darwen, starting in January 2025. This is an important role in promoting positive behaviour, providing pastoral support, and helping students successfully reintegrate into the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the Inclusion Room, providing a calm and structured environment for students who require additional support.
  • Manage and supervise students referred to the Inclusion Room, ensuring clear expectations, respect, and positive behaviour.
  • Deliver behaviour interventions and work closely with students to identify barriers to learning, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Liaise with teaching staff, the SEN team, and pastoral leaders to support students' reintegration into mainstream lessons.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, and contribute to school-wide strategies for improvement.
  • Promote the school’s values and ethos, helping students develop resilience, self-management, and a positive attitude toward learning.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner.
  • Understanding of safeguarding practices and behaviour management strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents to support the individual needs of students.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with a proactive and flexible approach.
