Are you a Maths expert with a knack for supporting students who need extra help? We are seeking an Intervention Maths Specialist to work with a secondary school in Tameside. This role involves providing targeted interventions for students who are underachieving in Maths, helping them gain confidence and improve their attainment levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver small group and 1:1 Maths intervention sessions to identified students
  • Work with pupils who may be below their expected academic levels, developing personalized learning plans to bridge the gap
  • Assess student progress regularly, adapting your teaching methods and materials as needed
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure a joined-up approach, sharing insights and progress updates
  • Support students in preparing for assessments and exams, helping to alleviate anxiety and build their confidence

Who We're Looking For:

  • A strong background in Mathematics teaching or tutoring
  • Previous experience in providing Maths interventions at secondary school level is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students
  • The ability to tailor teaching methods to individual students’ needs, making learning accessible and enjoyable
  • A proactive and patient approach with the ability to build rapport with students of varying abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
