Job Description: As an Intervention Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and personal development of our students. Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals, you will provide targeted intervention and support to students who require additional assistance to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering tailored intervention programs to students, both individually and in small groups, to address specific learning needs.
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress, and providing regular feedback to teaching staff and parents/carers.
  • Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support student engagement and achievement.
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of workshops or sessions focused on study skills, social skills, or other relevant topics.
  • Supporting students with emotional and behavioral difficulties, providing guidance and encouragement to help them overcome challenges.
  • Liaising with external agencies and professionals as required, to ensure students receive appropriate support and resources.
  • Contributing to the overall positive and inclusive atmosphere of the school, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational or youth work setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the academic and personal development of young people, and a commitment to inclusive practice.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle, as the role may involve travel between school sites

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
