Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Term Time Only

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Intervention Teaching Assistant to join our team in Chorley. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support students who need additional help to achieve their full potential. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education and making a positive impact on students' academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of intervention programs to address specific learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to identify students requiring additional support.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support classroom activities and help maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of literacy and numeracy skills among students.
  • Help organize and manage intervention resources and materials.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards helping students.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
