A school within Blackburn (BB1) are currently recruiting for a full-time Intervention Teaching Assistant to support with interventions across school. This role is currently temporary, however, there is potential for this to become a longer-term role.

The school is easily accessible and is an average size primary mainstream school. Behaviour within the school is generally good, with strong behavioral policies in place, however, there are a number of children with additional behavioral needs. The Headteacher of the school holds high standards for both staff and pupils and the successful candidate will be welcomed by a supportive and motivating Senior Leadership Team. The Headteacher has expressed wishes for the successful candidate to hold relevant experience of the role with a minimum qualification of Level 3, to ensure they can hit the ground running.

The successful candidate will work alongside class teacher’s to support with the planning and preparation for each lesson. You will need to have a broad range of the Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2 curriculum in order to be successful within the role. The ideal candidate will hold the relevant qualifications and will have a passion for supporting young pupils to bridge the gaps in education. You will need to be comfortable in carrying out progression assessments of pupils to ensure that relative targets are being met.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
