Smile Education is seeking a passionate and skilled KS1 Intervention Teaching Assistant to work with one of our partner primary schools in Dudley. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to supporting young learners, helping them to achieve their academic milestones through targeted intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering small group and one-to-one interventions to children in Key Stage 1, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and phonics support
- Working closely with the class teacher to plan and implement tailored learning activities based on pupil needs
- Supporting children with specific learning difficulties and ensuring they make progress in line with school targets
- Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where necessary
- Creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that encourages children to thrive
- Assisting in maintaining classroom order and behaviour management when needed
Requirements:- Experience working with KS1 pupils in a primary school setting
- A strong understanding of early years literacy, numeracy, and phonics development
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
- A flexible and proactive approach to working, with a focus on supporting children with varying learning needs
- A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, but not essential
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness to apply for one)
