Fully Qualified Key Stage 2 Teacher in Peterbrough

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a ‘Good’ rated school to secure maternity cover with aYear 2 Teacher for the summer term.

The school is based in central Peterborough, making it easily accessible via public or personal transport, and is a 2 form entry setting with an experienced & grounded senior leadership team in place. The school prides itself on its multicultural and flourishing ethos, providing a rewarding, supportive and professional atmosphere to all who join the team.

The position is full time for the summer term, with focuss on building a strong working relationship with the class pupils, the partner teacher, and the support staff already in place.

This is a two form entry School, where support from the other Key Stage 2 Teacher will be in place.  All planning is provided, and then PPA time is given each week to adapt these plans to suit your class and pupils levels.

Ideal applicants will:

  • Have experience teaching year 2
  • Work well within the existing team and blend in to provide the best outcome for the class and its pupils
  • Possess good knowledge of the curriculum
  • Be able to adapt existing plans to meet the needs of the individuals in class
  • Would like to be involed in school meetings
  • Would welcome the opportunity of CPD opportunities 

You will be supported by a qualified Teaching Assistant who will provide overall class support, as well as work within small focus groups. There is also a 1:1 TA in place for a pupil within the class to ensure they are supported effectively.

Successful applicants will be required to interview and potentially teach a planned lesson of your choice that is relevant to the class and their learning abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
