We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a thriving primary school in Burnley. If you have a passion for working with children and hold at least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), this could be the perfect role for you!

  • Supporting the class teacher in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons across Key Stage 2
  • Assisting pupils with their learning, providing targeted support to individuals and small groups
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Supporting children with additional learning needs and helping them achieve their full potential
  • Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive behaviour strategy
  • Preparing classroom resources and providing administrative support to the teacher as required
  • Supervising children during playtime and lunchtime
  • Promoting the school’s ethos and values, fostering strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • At least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a primary school setting, preferably within Key Stage 2
  • A patient, supportive, and positive attitude towards children’s learning and development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks efficiently
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils
