Job Role: KS1 Lead Practitioner 

Salary: 180-200 per day

Location: Wakefield, WF16

Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced KS1 Lead to work closely with SLT and leaders to deliver excellent KS1 lessons, supporting Teachers and ECTs in their professional development of the curriculum. 

Main Duties:

  • Raise standards and outcomes in Key Stage 1
  • Build sustainable capacity of teachers and leaders of the curriculum including CPD delivery
  • Work effectively with the School Leaders to develop teaching and learning practice of colleagues
  • Communicate key messages to teachers and curriculum leaders, Headteachers, Executive Headteachers and Regional Directors
  • Consistently demonstrate a high standard of teaching and curriculum development across our academies, through modelling lessons and co-delivery, including to support ECTs
  • Teaching in those academies that need your support the most, leading by example, showing what best practise looks like on a daily basis
  • Ensuring you provide challenge and support to those you work with to drive up standards in all areas
  • Report on standards and quality of provision to the Executive Headteacher, Heads of School and Regional Director.

Requirements:

  • QTS in Primary Education
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
  • Must have worked in UK schools as a KS1 Teacher
  • At least 2 graded references covering 24 months of employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
