Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school in the M24 area who are currently looking to recruit a talented individual for the role of General Support Teaching Assistant to provide exciting, educational experiences to pupils across KS1. This school prides itself on delivering the curriculum in a confident, positive and structured manner which caters for the individual child, and they work closely with parents to ensure pupils develop a responsible and independent attitude towards work and their roles in society. This role would be a full-time position, 8.30am-3.30pm, term time only until the end of the academic year (July 2025). Relevant qualifications are preferred (e.g. Level 2/ Level 3 education-based qualification) however not essential.

As a KS1 TA, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers and enhancing the learning experience for children across Year 1 and 2. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide support to the class teacher throughout the school day, monitor and record pupil’s progress and provide feedback to the teacher. 
  • Work with children on a small group and 1:1 basis during core and foundation subjects including Maths, English, Phonics and Guided Reading.
  • Upholding the school ethos and implementing relevant policies including behaviour.
