Key Stage 1 Teacher Required in Lincoln – September Start

Teaching Personnel urgently seeks a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our partner schools in Lincoln on a supply basis for the upcoming term starting in September. If you have a passion for fostering young minds and creating an engaging learning environment, this role is ideal for you.

The Role:

As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Classroom Management: Oversee full class responsibility, ensuring a safe and secure environment that promotes the social and communication development of students.
  • Inspirational Teaching: Deliver high-quality teaching to Year 1 and Year 2 pupils, using creative and effective resources to engage and inspire a love for learning.
  • Curriculum Delivery: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the national curriculum requirements and tailor your teaching to meet the needs of all children in your class.
  • Planning and Preparation: Develop and plan teaching materials, programmes, and methods of assessment, including pastoral care arrangements.
  • Behaviour Management: Apply a range of strategies for teaching and maintaining classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Assess, record, and report on pupil development, progress, and attainment across academic, social, and personal domains.
  • Classroom Environment: Maintain an organised, stimulating, and positive learning environment. Ensure children’s work is valued with effective classroom displays and contribute to displays in public areas such as halls and corridors.
  • Support Staff Management: Supervise and support any teaching assistants or support staff assigned to your class.
  • Parent Communication: Communicate effectively with parents and consult them about their child's progress and development.
  • Professionalism: Be punctual, set a good example for the children, and work collaboratively as part of the professional team within the school.

Hours of Work:

  • Full-time position (Minimum 8:30am – 3:30pm).
  • Additional hours may be required for teacher meetings, inspections, and parent consultations.

Qualifications and Vetting:

  • The successful candidate must hold a UK QTS certification or be an NQT (Newly Qualified Teacher).
  • Provide proof of appropriate teaching qualifications and references upon request.
  • Consent to ‘Child Only’ DBS checks as per our vetting procedures.
