An Ofsted-rated GOOD primary school in the heart of Wimbledon is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join their vibrant and supportive teaching team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher (NQT) to contribute to a thriving school community with a strong commitment to providing an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of all pupils.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and support to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to create a positive and supportive school environment.
  • Implement the school's policies and procedures, including those related to behaviour management, safeguarding, and inclusion.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in events, extracurricular activities, and school projects.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience teaching within the KS1 framework, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • A proven track record of raising attainment and providing high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to engage in reflective practice.
  • A passion for education and a desire to inspire a love of learning in young children.

Desirable:

  • Experience in using creative and innovative teaching strategies to engage pupils.
  • Familiarity with the use of assessment tools and data to inform teaching practice.
  • Experience in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) or English as an additional language (EAL).
