A vibrant and inclusive Ofsted-rated GOOD primary school in Eastleigh is seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their permanent teaching staff from January 2025. Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 1 (KS1) pupils, promoting a love of learning and ensuring each child achieves their full potential. Working closely with colleagues, you will contribute to the development of creative and engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge pupils.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, providing tailored support and interventions where needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes personal, social, and academic growth.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to enhance the school’s curriculum and ethos.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support pupil development and maintain effective communication.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including extra-curricular activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience or a specialism in Key Stage 1.
  • A strong understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Ability to create a nurturing, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • A passion for teaching and a dedication to the development and progress of young learners.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 1 within a UK primary school.
  • Familiarity with strategies for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
