A thriving, Ofsted-rated GOOD primary school in Luton is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their permanent staff from January 2025 or sooner. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons for children in Key Stage 1 (KS1).
  • Support the academic, social, and emotional development of each child, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and enriching learning environment.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote a love for learning.
  • Regularly communicate with parents/carers regarding student progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential.
  • Experience or specialism in teaching Key Stage 1.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and best teaching practices.
  • A passion for working with young children and a commitment to their development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in planning and delivering phonics programs.
  • Familiarity with SEND strategies and inclusive education.
  • Ability to use technology effectively in the classroom to enhance learning.
