A well-established and highly regarded primary school in Croydon, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 (KS1) teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from January 2025. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS1 national curriculum.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, providing timely feedback and tailored support to meet individual learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance student development and wellbeing.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and orderly classroom environment that supports learning and growth.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (KS1).
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and current teaching practices.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a positive approach to behaviour management.
  • A passion for working with young children, demonstrating creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to inspiring a love of learning.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and upholding the school’s values and ethos.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) will be required.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a primary school setting rated Good or higher by Ofsted.
  • Additional qualifications or expertise in specific areas of the KS1 curriculum.
