A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Clapham, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teacher to join their permanent staff from January 2025. The school prides itself on fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment where both students and staff thrive.

As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum. You will work closely with a supportive team of teachers and leaders to inspire and engage young learners, helping them to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to the needs of KS1 students.
  • Foster a positive learning environment where children feel safe, supported, and motivated.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and development of pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure the holistic development of students.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support children’s learning and well-being.
  • Promote an inclusive classroom environment where diversity and individuality are celebrated.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience in teaching KS1 within a UK primary school setting.
  • A solid understanding of the National Curriculum for KS1.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for fostering a love of learning in young children.
  • A commitment to the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in an Ofsted rated Good or Outstanding school.
  • Familiarity with Clapham and the local community is a plus.
