An Ofsted-rated "Good" primary school located in the heart of Islington is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 teacher to join their vibrant teaching team. This permanent role will commence in January 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and active learning.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure each pupil’s success and well-being.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in staff meetings, school events, and extra-curricular activities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (KS1) with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A passion for teaching and learning, with a focus on developing the potential of each child.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to continuous professional development.
