About the role:

KS2 Teaching Assistant

•Full Time, Monday to Friday 8.30am- 3.30pm

•Pay Rate: £12.90- £14 per hour.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 2 team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of children aged 7-11, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of individual pupils.

Support pupils in small group and one-to-one settings, providing additional help and reinforcement of learning objectives.

Promote positive behaviour management strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful classroom environment.

Help to create and maintain stimulating learning resources, displays, and educational materials.

Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and contribute to the assessment and tracking of student attainment.

Assist with the organization and supervision of educational outings, trips, and extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably Key Stage 2.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.

A patient and empathetic approach to supporting children's learning and emotional well-being.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.

A relevant qualification or willingness to undertake training (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).

Desirable:

First aid qualification.

Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).

Knowledge of phonics and/or numeracy interventions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
