An Ofsted-rated GOOD primary school in the heart of Banbury is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Classroom Teacher and Coordinator to join their permanent staff team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge KS2 students.
  • Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that supports learning and encourages pupil engagement.
  • Coordinate KS2 curriculum planning and implementation, ensuring consistency and progression across the year groups.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning in KS2, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Lead and manage a team of KS2 teachers, providing guidance and support to promote professional development.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and policies.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student development and wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching KS2, with a strong track record of raising pupil attainment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of educational best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of young learners.
