A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Croydon, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 (KS2) teacher to join its permanent staff from January 2025. The school prides itself on providing a nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

This is a full-time, permanent position within the KS2 team, offering the opportunity to inspire and support children through the critical stages of their primary education. The successful candidate will work within a supportive and collaborative teaching environment, contributing to the school’s vision of fostering a love of learning and high achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that caters to the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement and providing targeted support where necessary.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and participate in extracurricular activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, with a proven track record of raising standards in attainment and progress.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
  • A commitment to the safeguarding and wellbeing of children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the school’s ongoing improvement.
  • Passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment that supports every child’s potential.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a Good or Outstanding Ofsted-rated school.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Experience in leading a subject area (though not essential).
