KS2 Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a ‘Good’ Primary School in the BB4 area to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant.  The role is to commence immediately and will initially run for a half-term with the view for this to be extended further for the right candidate.

In this role, you would be required to:

  • Assist the class teacher with the delivery of lessons
  • Work across both classes (approx. 28 pupils) to encourage a positive attitude to learning
  • Assist in the management of behaviour
  • Work with children on a 1:1 basis to provide extra support where needed, specifically targeting phonics maths, reading, and writing abilities.

High standards of behaviour are of paramount importance across the school; therefore, the successful candidate must be confident in following the school’s behavioural policy. Experience within a Primary School setting is essential, with experience preferable. The individual appointed must have an in-depth knowledge of the National Curriculum and be passionate about education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
