Teaching Personnel is currently looking for a KS2 Teaching Assistant with a passion for education and learning on behalf of a partnership school in Newport. We are search to dedicated staff who consistently demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and practical thinking. The role involves supporting children during their crucial early years of education, fostering a positive, supportive, and secure environment for each child while actively participating in their educational journey.

Responsibilities of Nursery/Reception Teaching Assistant:

  • Collaborating with fellow Teaching Assistants in a large classroom setting to support pupils in KS2, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Assisting children in numeracy and language skills through various daily activities and classes.
  • Encouraging independent work while fostering social interaction and peer engagement.
  • Cultivating a positive, caring, and safe atmosphere to facilitate children's growth and development.
  • Adhering to the school's safeguarding and protection policies.
  • Provide additional support to those who require.

Location: Newport

Start: September 2024

Pay: Starting at £83.34 per day

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 3:30

Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant

Qualifications for a Successful Nursery/Reception Teaching Assistant:

  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
  • Possession of a Child-Only DBS certificate registered on the Update Service.
  • Provision of two professional references covering the past 24 months.
