Job Title: KS2 English and Maths Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Harlow

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide high-quality tutoring in English and Maths for Key Stage 2 students
  • Develop engaging lesson plans and teaching materials tailored to individual student needs
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
  • Support students in exam preparation and revision
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in tutoring English and Maths at Key Stage 2 level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum in English and Maths
  • Experience in differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Experience using technology in the classroom

Working Conditions:

  • This role involves working with children and may require a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
  • Temporary position with the possibility of extension based on performance and demand

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
