Education and Training

£20 - £30 per hour

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Develop individualised learning plans to support students' academic progress and emotional well-being
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure a supportive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths at KS3 level

  • Understanding of SEMH challenges and effective teaching strategies
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Proficient in using assessment data to inform instructional decisions
  • Additional training in behaviour management techniques
  • Work primarily in the learners home or community setting
  • Full-time hours, temporary position
  • Collaborative work with school staff and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
