£20 - £30 Per hour

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 Looked After Children (LAC).
  • Create engaging lesson plans and activities to support academic development.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
  • Collaborate with school staff and social workers to address individual learning needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience working with Looked After Children in an educational setting.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of experience teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level.
  • Proven track record of improving student outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for English and Maths at Key Stage 3.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Training in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule.
  • Work on-site at schools or in LAC residential settings.
  • Potential travel within the Greater London area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
