Position: Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Salary: £85 - £95 per day (dependant on experience)
Hours: Full-time, Term Time Only

About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a reputable secondary school in Oldham, seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. As a key support figure, you will be assisting both students and teachers to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment. This role will involve working one-to-one with students who may require additional learning support, as well as providing group interventions across various subjects.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide tailored support to students with additional needs, including SEN.
  • Help manage behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
  • Assist in planning and preparing resources.
  • Promote the social, emotional, and intellectual development of students.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents to support student progress.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working in a secondary school setting (preferred).
  • A passion for education and helping students reach their potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
