£20 - £30 Per hour

The LAC Tutor will be responsible for providing educational support and guidance to Looked After Children (LAC) in the East of England. Duties include developing individualised learning plans, delivering tutoring sessions, monitoring progress, and liaising with social workers and other professionals involved in the child's care.

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with vulnerable children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A degree in Education or a related field

Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring

  • Understanding of the UK education system
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans
  • Excellent assessment and feedback skills
  • Experience working with LAC or similar vulnerable groups
  • Additional training in safeguarding and child protection

The LAC Tutor will primarily work in the homes of Looked After Children. The role may involve occasional travel within the East of England region and collaboration with social services and other support agencies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
