A diverse Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in the Southwest are currently recruiting for a Lead Cover Supervisor to join their talented and supportive team in BS15.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Lead on arranging and sorting daily cover. This would involve leading the cover supervisors by assigning them to lessons that need cover.
  • Maintain relationships with supply agencies to ensure supply teachers are sourced appropriately. 
  • Forecast school cover needs for each week. 
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in teacher absence.

Position Details:

  • 37.5 hours a week. 7am start. Cover needs to be checked and ready by 7:50am, before being emailed to the staff body at 8am. 
  • The post is permanent, term time only plus school training days.
  • Variable hours contract between 25-35 hours per week.
  • Pay to scale
  • This role reports to a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • NVQ level 3 or above qualification appropriate to the post or relevant experience.
  • Level 2 in English and Maths or evidence of working at this level.
  • Very good IT, numeracy, and literacy skills.
  • Willingness to undertake further professional development.
  • Previous experience of working in a classroom environment with students.
  • Experience of procedures relating to child protection and safeguarding.
