Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with an exceptional Secondary school based in Westbury. The school cater for Pupils aged 11-16, which focus on Small group and individualised learning and concentrate on social and emotional development. The school are passionate about building strong and trusting relationships between staff and pupils forming the foundation for success.

THE JOB

  • Lead subject teaching responsibility and ensure all pupils develop their knowledge and skills and make good progress in their learning
  • Work with the Head Teacher and Leadership team to deliver a sequenced curriculum which builds knowledge and skills towards agreed end points
  • Effectively monitor the progress of each pupil, checking their understanding systematically and effectively, putting in place clearly directed and timely intervention

THE PERSON

  • Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) preferred but other recognised teaching qualification considered
  • Experience of teaching to secondary class/group
  • Ability to prepare and deliver appropriate curriculum using a range of teaching styles and methodologies.
  • Experience within an SEN setting an advantage
