A highly reputable SEMH School Group is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lead ICT Teacher to join the permanent staff of their esteemed independent special school located in West Yarner. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ICT educator to make a significant impact within a supportive and innovative educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the ICT department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement an engaging and comprehensive ICT curriculum tailored to the needs of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in ICT education and SEMH strategies to ensure the school remains at the forefront of innovative teaching practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching ICT, preferably within a special education setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with teaching students with SEMH needs.
