About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Mentor to join a vibrant educational setting in Pocklington. As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support, helping them overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and develop essential skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored mentoring to students, both one-on-one and in small groups.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Support students in managing their behavior and developing positive attitudes towards learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies as necessary to ensure success.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A compassionate and patient individual with a genuine passion for helping young people.
  • Previous experience in a mentoring or educational support role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
