We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team at a small, high needs secondary school catering for students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is perfect for someone passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and fostering a safe, trusting learning environment.

  • Provide tailored support to secondary-aged pupils with a variety of additional needs.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure students' individual learning plans are met.
  • Adapt your support to the emotional, social, and educational needs of students.
  • Build strong relationships based on trust and encouragement, helping pupils develop both academically and personally.
  • Previous experience working with children who have special educational needs (SEN), particularly in a secondary school setting.
  • A resilient, adaptive, and encouraging approach to support students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with vulnerable pupils.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching personnel and other support staff.
