The Headteacher and governing body of a reputable Community Primary School in CHORLEY are in search of an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage two team in the Year 6 class. This role will be working Monday-Friday from October 2022 for the full academic year. The working hours for this role are 8:40-15:20 Monday-Friday.
This role will be working 1:1 alongside a child who struggles to manage their emotions, the child is high attaining in Maths however does require additional support with English. The child struggles with mobility therefore, there will be an element of manual handing as part of this role. The little girl enjoys school and is eager to learn, the successful candidate may also be required to provide general class support within the same class. Full training will be provided prior to the start date in October.
Experience of supporting children with complex needs would be advantageous. Mainstream Primary experience is not essential but would be advantageous as is experience within an SEN setting or alternative provision. Teachers and support staff have access to excellent resources and state of the art facilities to aid learning for each child. The staff team are welcoming, and new staff will be fully inducted prior to starting their new role.
This is a new role in school and will be a guaranteed position until July 2023. Rates of pay are competitive for work of this nature (starting at £10.77 per hour) and will be paid directly on a weekly basis.
