Position: Learning Support Assistant.

Location: Preston (PR5).

Start date: Monday 15th April 2024.

Contract type: Temporary (absence, short-term).

Working hours: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:30).

Pay rate: £12.82 - £13.50 per hour.

A Specialist Provision in the Preston area is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with additional Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You must have a strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 National Curriculum and you must be confident with your behaviour management. Some peoples have Educational Health Care Plans so you must be able to adapt to suit these where necessary. You will be required to liaise with class teachers, teaching assistants and SLT to ensure that pupils are supported fully and that collectively you are maximising their potential.

Role requirements:

  • Confident with challenging behaviour.
  • Relevant experience supporting children with additional needs.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
