Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Locations: Chorley, Leyland and Darwen.

Are you passionate about education and supporting young learners? An exciting opportunity has arisen for dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our vibrant teams at various schools across Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across various subjects.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students who require additional assistance with their learning.
  • Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare and organize classroom materials and resources.
  • Supervise students during break times and off-site activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young learners.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
  • Willingness to undergo relevant training and development opportunities.
