Learning Support Assistant in South Manchester Required

A Secondary school in South Manchester requires a Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2024 until December 2024 with the possibility of this being extended further. The school is based in the Trafford region of South Manchester and easily accessible via public transport (short walk from the nearest bus stop into and out of Manchester city centre). The School was rated Good by Ofsted upon their last inspection and boast excellent exam results year upon year, along with excellent student behaviour within lessons.

The role of a learning support assistant involves working with a number of students (either in a one-to-one setting, or in small groups) with their literacy and numeracy skills and helping them to complete their schoolwork in general. You will be responsible for building strong working relationships with these students and tracking their data across a range of subjects to look for areas of improvement and what areas have already experienced improvement. You would then need to liaise this information with class teachers and parents where necessary – this means you should be a confident, organised and outgoing individual with an eye for detail.
