Job Opportunity: Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated good secondary school in Bramhall. This full-time position starts ASAP and continues until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to become permanent based on performance. The pay for this role ranges from £419.25 to £500 per week.

Role Overview:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' educational needs, ensuring they have the best possible learning experience. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to help students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Support:

  • Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups, particularly those with additional learning needs.
  • Assist students in understanding and engaging with the curriculum, helping them overcome any barriers to learning.
  • Monitor students' progress and provide regular feedback to teachers, contributing to the development of personalised learning plans.

Classroom Assistance:

  • Support classroom management to maintain a positive and conducive learning environment.

Pastoral Care:

  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students, offering encouragement and guidance to help them succeed both academically and personally.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to support students' emotional and social well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and carers to provide updates on progress and address any concerns.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with the school's academic and pastoral teams to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
  • Participate in regular meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities and school events.

Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in education and a passion for supporting students' development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a supportive approach to working with young people.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
