Located in the South of Essex, I support an excellent secondary school who are vibrant and an inclusive educational institution dedicated to fostering academic excellence and personal growth. We are committed to creating a supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.


We are currently seeking various dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary School Teaching Assistants to join our dynamic team for the new acadmeic year. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in supporting our teachers and helping students achieve their full potential.


  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Individual Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive and conducive learning environment.
  • SEN Support: Work with students with special educational needs (SEN) and those requiring additional help.
  • Activity Assistance: Support the planning and execution of educational activities and projects.
  • Progress Monitoring: Record and monitor students' progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Extracurricular Involvement: Contribute to the school’s extracurricular programs and activities if required. 
  • Student Welfare: Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant or working with young people is desirable.
  • A passion for education and student development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.
  • Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and Maths at Grade C/Level 4
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
