Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Towcester
Salary: £400 - £500 per week, depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: September 2024

Job Description:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting students with additional needs to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the SENCO and other members of staff to ensure that students receive the appropriate support and guidance to succeed academically and socially. Your main duties will include:

- Supporting students with additional needs on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
- Helping students with classwork and homework
- Assisting with behaviour management and promoting positive behaviour
- Providing feedback to teachers on student progress
- Liaising with parents and carers

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children and young people, preferably in an educational setting
- A good understanding of SEN and the barriers to learning that some students may face
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude towards supporting students with additional needs

Qualifications:
A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
