Role Overview:

The Level 3 Learning Support Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting students' educational and personal development. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a supportive learning environment tailored to each student's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver tailored learning activities.
  • Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Assist with personal care needs, where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Learning Support or a related field.
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Understanding of various SEN conditions and appropriate support strategies.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' development.
  • Willingness to assist with personal care tasks, if required.
