The school is dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential by offering tailored support that meets their unique needs. Our students have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) in place, and their goal is to ensure they receive the best possible education in a safe and inclusive environment.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting small groups of students, working closely with staff, students, and caregivers to ensure that all the needs of our students are met. Your ability to build strong, trusting relationships will be crucial in helping students overcome any barriers they may have towards education.

You will:

  • Provide support to students with EHCPs in place, adapting your approach to meet their individual needs.
  • Work alongside teachers and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Manage and respond to challenging behaviour with compassion, patience, and understanding.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing atmosphere where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged to engage with their education.

What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people with special educational needs or in an alternative provision setting.
  • Be compassionate, patient, and resilient, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and caregivers.
  • Be committed to building positive relationships and making a real difference in the lives of the students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
