Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Salford, SEN Further Education College

The setting is a specialist college for young adults with autism and learning difficulties. We focus on helping our students gain vocational skills, qualifications, and the confidence to succeed in life and work.

We’re looking for a caring and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join our team. You’ll work directly with students, providing personalised support to help them develop vocational skills, complete coursework, and prepare for employment. Your role will be key in fostering their independence and helping them thrive in and out of the classroom.

  • Support students with autism and learning difficulties in vocational courses.
  • Assist with coursework, assignments, and exam prep.
  • Encourage independence and positive behaviour.
  • Collaborate with staff to create individual learning plans.
  • Track and report on student progress.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and learning difficulties desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Flexibility and a team-player attitude.
