Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students with additional learning needs. This role is crucial in helping our students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support students in developing effective learning strategies and study skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt classroom materials and activities to meet the needs of SEN students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs.
  • Experience working with secondary school students.
