Learning Support Assistant

 

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a full-time learning support assistant to work in a Secondary School on a full-time basis! 

 

About the school:

This school is based in NP19 (Newport). You will be joining a popular and thriving school, dedicated to ensuring all students receive a purposeful and progressive education. An integral part of the school is the Learning Development Centre, which provides emotional, behavioural and academic support to students with additional learning needs.

 

Successful LSA criteria:

-          Meet the needs of all students to progress in their knowledge, understanding and application of skills.

-          Have a nurturing and compassionate personality to aid children with autism and learning difficulties.

-          Encourage students to have healthy, active lifestyles to assist them with their physical and mental health.

-          Cooperate with other members of staff to guarantee the best possible outcomes for students in need.

 

Requirements:

-          Experience working with children/young people with additional needs is preferred.

-          Resilient and adaptive traits.

-          Enhanced DBS and Educational Workforce Council (EWC) registration – Teaching Personnel can assist you with applying for these.

-          Right to work in the UK, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Salary: £12.90 per hour
