Learning Support Assistant (BR1)

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join our educational team at our partner school in Bromley. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing support to students with diverse learning needs and be committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and learning strategies.
  • Support classroom teachers in managing student behavior and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Help students develop effective study habits and organizational skills.
  • Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.
  • Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Encourage student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining student records and preparing learning materials.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of support strategies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of various learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of educational software and tools.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or learning support (desirable).
