Role Overview:

As a Full-Time Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help students with varying needs access the curriculum and achieve their best. Your role will involve providing one-on-one and small group support, assisting with classroom activities, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).
  • Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt resources and teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Support students in developing essential skills, both academic and social.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in an educational or support setting.
  • Understanding of special educational needs and effective support strategies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting student development.
  • Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undertake relevant training.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take initiative when required.
