Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide vital academic support to students of all ages with additional Educational Needs in a dynamic and inclusive secondary school environment.

Role Overview:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure students' academic progress and well-being. Your responsibilities will include providing support both in the classroom and in the Student Support Room. Additionally, you will be a crucial emotional resource for students, offering guidance and care when needed. We are in need of the educator to start in October 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with students who face barriers to learning, providing tailored support to meet their educational needs.
  • Act as a positive role model, demonstrating resilience, self-control, and professionalism.
  • Respect confidentiality while adhering to safeguarding protocols.
  • Participate in relevant training and meetings to stay informed on the best practices for supporting students with special educational needs.

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs in a secondary school setting.
  • A genuine interest in how children learn and behave.
  • A strong commitment to helping students overcome challenges to reach their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
