Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? Do you want to support students in their learning journey? If so, we want you to join our dedicated team as a Learning Support Assistant in Rochdale!

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide vital support to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. You will work closely with teachers to assist in planning and delivering individual learning plans, offering one-to-one support, and ensuring students thrive both academically and socially.

  • Support students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis
  • Assist in developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Help create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
  • Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural needs
  • Promote independence and confidence in learning
  • Have a passion for working with children and young people
  • Be patient, empathetic, and encouraging
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be adaptable and able to work flexibly in a dynamic school setting
  • Experience working with SEND students is desirable, but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
