A secondary school in Gosport is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The school’s curriculum is ambitious for all learners, focusing on both knowledge acquisition and skill development, with the goal of helping students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to pupils in the classroom, ensuring they can engage with the curriculum effectively.
• Work with small groups and one-to-one sessions to help students develop key skills and deepen their understanding of subject content.
• Build trusting relationships with students by communicating in a supportive and encouraging manner, creating a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement individual learning plans, ensuring that each pupil receives the tailored support they need.
• Monitor students' progress, providing feedback and adjusting support strategies as needed to foster continuous development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, ideally within a secondary school setting.
• The ability to motivate and engage with students in a way that builds their confidence and supports their learning journey.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with students and staff.
• A patient, adaptable, and compassionate approach to supporting pupils with diverse learning needs.
